Home Sick

Its been a hard year, I arrived back in the UK a year ago, this month, and a lot has happened. I moved into a friends house and after a few months she kicked me out? that was weird, so i was homeless for a day and another mate, came to the rescue. I stayed with her for a week or so and managed to find a room to stay and I am still there.

Its a multi occupied house and suits me well, I had a great job and after christmas, I was no longer needed, I was told that I would still be Ok as I was on agency, and they even offered me a permanent contract, one was lost and the other was declined after I signed it. ??

I came over to help my son, which I am doing, (the only thing that has worked out,) So thanks for to the COVID situation, and the war in Ukraine, resultng in highter prices and the crap exchange rate, I have not been about to do the things I wasnted and send money back.

I wanted to go back to Thailand for a month or so on holiday , but cant afford it at the moment. So its been hard, Nui, Leo my home garden, the food and lots of things. I love the heat, even though its in the 40’s in Chiang Mai at the moment.

I do as I tell others, one hour, one day one week at a time.

I have retired and moved from the UK to Chiang Mai, Thailand. Even though I have retired, l still do some seasonal work in the UK. I have been a Buddhist since 1999. I love being in Thailand and it’s wonderful people. I intend to pass on my learning and experiences while living in the land of smiles, to anyone who has come across my blog.
